Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.
Mt Washington in high winds! Hiking and backpacking with my meetup group. I don't like hiking alone. I love to master a new summit. I've almost completed my NH 4000 ft list, which is great for my moderate pace. Give me enough time, I'll get there.
Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?
I know first aid from military life- but would also appreciate the certification.
Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.
I backpack all 4 seasons, in New England White Mountains and gear includes snowshoes, Xskis, crampons, stabilizers. My pack limit is 40 lbs and prefer day trips or 2 day overnight. Coldest hike -10 degrees.! I have a -5degree sleeping bag
What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?
Favorite Moose! Least favorite-flies. If I could call it a critter, it would be slippery boulders. If I'm not on solid ground, I could care less about flies.
What's your favorite snack food on the trail?
A good sandwich, energy bar, or nuts. A hot cup of coffee on a cold summit is as divine as a cold beer after.
