Introduction

Howdy! I'm a friend of Joe's and he told me about this place, so I joined right up

Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.

Canoeing the Rio Grande in late January, when your shoes would freeze solid over night if you weren't careful.

Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?

No, I let my WFR lapse... gotta take a recert course.

Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.

It's been a while (3 or 4 seasons) since I've gone on a winter trip, but the coldest I've camped in was -20. Great week long trip in the Upper Valley between the Whites and the Greens

What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?

eewwwwwww!!!! SLUGS!

What's your favorite snack food on the trail?

I couldn't possibly list a favorite... nuts (macadamia, hazel, cashew), cookies, gorp, M&M's, ....
