Just relocated from Southern Cal where I was active in outdoorsclub.org. Experienced backpacker ... trips have included 6 night in Glacier NP (gorgeous!), 5 days across the Grand Canyon and overnight in the Zion Narrows.
Leaning out over the edge atop Half Dome to peer down ... yikes! But I had to ... I was there. And I thought my buddy got a picture but then he said he was too busy having a heart attack.
Took WFA with Desert Mountain Medicine in May 2006 (CA desert emphasis) but honestly I haven't kept up the skills.
3-season. I've slept in about 20° F, but am not currently geared for that cold.
