Introduction
Hello! I've always been a good walker so when a friend invited me, I knew that I wanted to join this club. Now I realize that climbing a hill is not like walking in the city...but I'll keep trying and in the meantime continue enjoying the great com
Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.
Haven't had many. I really enjoyed the bus ride into the tropical jungle of Martinique. I wish I could have kayaked in a bay somewhere. One day I will.
Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?
No. Sure.
Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.
Well, I guess now I am since I had my first hike in the snow. The coldest I've ever slept in was up in the French Alps, on a cold summer night...an adventure to share another time.
What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?
I love all creatures...as Will can attest to my stories of having had snakes, a tarantula, mice, a bird, a cat, dogs... Probably I would not want to encounter one of those big scary bugs, although they're great to photograph.
What's your favorite snack food on the trail?
I really enjoyed my homemade egg and cheese sandwich. I'd probably want something light in the summer, like a grilled chicken breast sandwich with herbs and greens. I'm getting hungry.
