Introduction

Just moved to NYC after spending my first 30 years in Colorado. LOVE to backpack, hiking, snowboard, cross country ski, trail run, raft and anything else that lands me back country!

Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.

I loved the himalayas- I hiked the Anapurna Circuit and it was absolutely the best time of my life. I have never felt stronger or happier- or more at peace. Spectacular place!!!!

Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?

Don't have it. Have had to deal with altitude sickness in other folks climbing 14er's in Colorado as well as some other basic back country issues. But would ABSOLUTELY love to get it- been on my list to do for a long time!

Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.

I have yurted it in the winter- so more of a 3 seaon. But have camped into late October and slept just below frost lines on the mountains and had light snow fall. Wee bit chilly.

What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?

The mosquito! Tenacious little critters. They can really ruin a perfectly good sunset and make you wear all your rain gear in July on a bone dry, sunny day.

What's your favorite snack food on the trail?

Humm- peanut/almond butter torts or gorp- quick energy and nummy. Tastes good, cold, hot, smashed or dropped in dirt!
